Farmer: Max Ariel Palacios Villatoro
Varietal: Caturra (75%), Bourbon, Mundo Novo
Process: Fully Washed
Farm information: The 220 hectare farm has been passed down over three generations now owned and managed by Max a coffee producer with over 40 year experience. His tow children Ana Lucia and Javier will subsequently take over the farm. At a particularly high alititude the beans mature very slowly resulting in a sweeter more complex cup. The locality of ‘Huehue’ (for short) near the border of Mexico is the highest non volcanic mountain range in Central America and is famous for producing some of the more complex and celebrated coffees in the country, regularly appearing in the Cup of Excellence competition. This is a great single origin coffee for all milk coffee drinkers, or those who just love a familiar, comforting sweet easy drinker. We have a real soft spot for Guatemala coffees. We could drink them everyday. This is a taste of why we feel that way.
