Espigao Brazil Espresso
Gil Cesar de Melo's journey in the coffee industry traces back to his grandfather, Miguel Constante, a coffee grower in Campos Altos. Inherited passion led Elizena, Gil's mother, to instill the same love for coffee in him. In 1995, Gil planted his first six hectares, later expanding his areas while emphasising quality. His Espigao do Palmital farm, situated in Pratinha, Minas Gerais, benefits from the prime location in the Cerrado Mineiro region, experiencing optimal climate conditions for coffee cultivation. The farm's mountainous terrain, high altitudes, and adequate rainfall contribute to producing specialty green coffee beans renowned for their superior aromas and flavors. Gil's properties serve as a benchmark for new coffee standards, attracting customers worldwide who prioritise quality and ethical sourcing.
