Ecuador Alambi Premium (48-hour fermentation) (Flt)
Surrounded by serene waterfalls, protected forest and a whole lot of mist, Nanegalito is a pretty special place known for its pristine water sources. Alambi takes its name from the nearby Alambi Fog Forest Reserve, a 123-hectare stretch of forest filled with rivers, native plants and wildlife. The cool, damp weather also creates great conditions for growing coffee. Many producers learned farming from their parents and grandparents, passing that knowledge through their families. Since around 2016, they have worked with Caravela’s local team to improve quality from one harvest to the next. Coffee trees grow beneath natural shade alongside other plants, helping care for the soil, protect nearby water and keep these farms full of life.
