Ethiopia Wanja Kersa - Espresso
Telila Coffee Washing Station, located in Kecho Anderacha, Gera (Jimma), is owned and operated by Mike Mamo. Since acquiring the station in 2019, Mike and his team have focused on precise quality control and innovative processing, producing exceptional coffees that include washed, fermented honey, and occasional natural lots.
This lot features 74110 and 74112, both disease-resistant varieties selected in 1974 from Ethiopia’s Illubabor Zone by the Jimma Agricultural Research Center. Grown at around 2,000 masl, these trees yield coffees with remarkable character.
In the cup, expect vibrant blackberry, juicy nectarine, and zesty lemon peel, balanced by a honeyed sweetness, delicate florals, and a sparkling acidity that lifts the profile beautifully.
We’re proud to work with Mike and the Telila team—who are pushing boundaries with every harvest—bringing us coffees that are not only impeccably clean, but also dynamic and deeply expressive of their terroir.
