Kenya Kimbo Estate - Espresso

Jammy lime plum Treacle

Kimbo is a small, eight-hectare estate in Embu County, Kenya, owned and managed by Lucy Wanjiru and her son, Christopher Munene Njiraini.

Established in the 1960s by Lucy’s father-in-law, the estate sits on nutrient-rich volcanic soil, benefiting from the cool, high-altitude climate at the foothills of Mt.
Kenya.

Predominantly planted with SL-28, Ruiru 11, and Batian varieties, Kimbo Estate’s coffee is processed onsite at their wet mill, allowing Lucy and Christopher to control every aspect of quality.

This AB-grade lot reflects the region's signature hints of lime, plum and jam with a crisp mouthfeel and a clean finish. Each cherry is handpicked and carefully pulped, washed, and sun-dried on raised African beds to develop its distinct sweetness.

The coffee is a bright representation of Embu’s classic profile, embodying both tradition and innovation in Kenyan specialty coffee.
