Kenya Ndocha
Ndocha is a family-owned coffee farm in Kenya’s Kiambu County, run by siblings Geoffrey, Danson and Peris Karugondo. Their roles are neatly divided: Geoffrey manages commercial operations, Danson tends the farm, and Peris oversees processing at the wet mill their father built in the 1980s. Ndocha was once part of the larger Muhathi estate, later divided among seven siblings. The family now processes each plot separately, preserving its individual identity. SL28 trees first selected by their grandfather remain the farm’s backbone, while Ruiru 11 has been introduced to help tackle rising disease pressure and the effects of climate change. It is a thoughtful balance of family history, quality and adaptation.
Tasting Notes: Blackberry, white peach, orange & crisp green apple. Bright lemon sherbet acidity with a rich, rounded mouthfeel.
