Claudia Rivera was born on Finca El Porvenir in Jinotega, Nicaragua, where she learned coffee farming from her father, Jesús Rivera Palacios. Inheriting the farm in 1996, she preserved her father's traditional methods while innovating with specialty coffee production alongside her husband, Felipe.

Finca El Porvenir spans 66 hectares in the Cerro Datanlí-El Diablo nature reserve, a biodiverse area perfect for coffee cultivation. With 28 hectares dedicated to coffee, Claudia produces Caturra, Catuai, and Bourbon varieties at 1,250–1,300 MASL.

Her washed-process coffee undergoes fermentation, sun-drying on shaded raised beds, and meticulous care, delivering exceptional quality. Participation in the Cup of Excellence has driven Claudia to push boundaries, producing coffees that reflect her heritage and the vibrant environment of her farm.
