This microlot is a standout Ethiopian coffee from Sidama, grown at 2,230m and naturally processed at the privately owned Yaye washing station, owned and operated by Testi Coffee a family owned company founded by Mr. Faysel A. Yonis.
Sourced from smallholder farmers near Tulecha Mountain, this lot is part of the Premium Cherry Selection initiative, which ensures best practices for growing, harvesting and processing premium coffee cherry. These represent the highest quality and cleanest profiles produced by the washing station. The particularly high elevation and cool climate contribute to dense, flavourful beans with a clean, fruit-forward profile.
This lot was processed using anaerobic fermentation and natural drying.
The hand sorted cherries are packed into sealed tanks and fermented without oxygen for around 7 days. Carefully handled from cherry selection to export, this coffee showcases Ethiopia's rich heritage of natural processing, resulting in a vibrant cup with exceptional sweetness, floral aromatics, and a lingering finish.
